Flutist Suzanne Duffy joined the Cal Poly Symphony in 2015 to perform Charles Griffes Poem for Flute and Orchestra. Currently principal flute for Symphony of the Vines and second flute/piccolo for Opera Santa Barbara, she has performed with Opera San Luis Obispo, the Palm Beach Opera, Santa Barbara Symphony, Florida Philharmonic, and the New World and Indianapolis Symphonies, among others.

A duo of flutes joined by piano become “Flute Delights,” a Symphony of the Vines chamber concert on Sunday, February 10, 4 p.m., Cass Vineyard in Paso Robles. “The programming is inspired by the pastoral setting that is a winery and its vineyard,” said Suzanne Duffy, one of the featured flutists of this female trio. The fact that flautist Suzanne Duffy is a friend has never prevented me, out of some morbid professional delicacy, from broadcasting my enthusiasm for her playing or recommending that my readers attend whatever event in which she will participate.
